What’s a better way to celebrate Labor Day Weekend? By attending the Millbrae Art & Wine Festival! This weekend, TPNB kicked off Labor Day Weekend with a fun filled day at the 43rd annual festival on Broadway in beautiful Millbrae from 10am – 5pm. Attendees were able to stop by the TPNB booth to give their best shot at our prize wheel to win some great prizes, including one of our very own The Bay Way t-shirts and so much more! Thanks to everyone who stopped by to say hi and we hope you enjoyed your three day weekend!

The TPNB Millbrae Staff recently participated in Relay for Life. Relay for Life Millbrae is a 24 hour fundraising event sponsored by American Cancer Society that helps the community celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. There were a total of 24 teams and 172 participants, each team setting up tents for overnight. Teams sold products such as drinks, cupcakes, or custom jewelry, and all proceeds went to the American Cancer Society. The fun-filled day also included dragon dances, live bands, and a Luminaria celebration dedicated to families and friends who lost a loved one to cancer. Shirley and Maria from our Millbrae branch volunteered and worked as account verifiers, counting and verifying all the cash and check donations for the day.

On October 25th the Millbrae Office of Trans Pacific National Bank hosted a Millbrae Chamber of Commerce Mixer for the businesses in Millbrae. The event was well attended by customers, city officials, and local business people who all enjoyed some horse devours from local sushi restaurant Naked Fish, some fantastic wines from TPNB customer R&B Cellars, and even Game 2 of the World Series broadcast on the branch wall. The highlight of the evening was a special update on the city of Millbrae and local businesses from Mayor Marge Calapietro. The Mayor took all in attendance on a verbal trip down the El Camino with detailed descriptions of the changes and exciting things underway throughout the city.
