The TPNB Millbrae Staff recently participated in Relay for Life. Relay for Life Millbrae is a 24 hour fundraising event sponsored by American Cancer Society that helps the community celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. There were a total of 24 teams and 172 participants, each team setting up tents for overnight. Teams sold products such as drinks, cupcakes, or custom jewelry, and all proceeds went to the American Cancer Society. The fun-filled day also included dragon dances, live bands, and a Luminaria celebration dedicated to families and friends who lost a loved one to cancer. Shirley and Maria from our Millbrae branch volunteered and worked as account verifiers, counting and verifying all the cash and check donations for the day.

Harrison Barnes Guest of Honor at Alameda Mayor’s 4th of July Parade
Trans Pacific National Bank (TPNB) was able to get Harrison Barnes of the Golden State Warriors to ride in their car during this years’ Alameda Mayor’s 4th of July Parade. TPNB, who is celebrating the 25th year anniversary of their branch in Alameda, has been a major sponsor of the parade for several years where funds from the event go to benefit the music programs throughout the schools in Alameda.
“We were thrilled to have Harrison agree to be in this years’ parade and it was fantastic to have his support of this event and the community. He could not speak enough about how beautiful the city of Alameda was, how surprised he was by the droves of people on the parade route, and what a great event the parade turned out to be.” said Michael Delucchi, Chief Administrative Officer of TPNB and member of the Parade Committee.
Harrison’s Independence Day activities included meeting Mayor Marie Gilmore, starting the RACE before the parade, meeting with kids from the Alameda Boys and Girls Club, and even getting on a horse before the parade started.
In May the NBA named Harrison Barnes to the 2012-13 All-Rookie first team after completing his first year in the league and a sensational playoff run where he contributed significantly to the success of the team.
